I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Various bits for sale.
Morning all.
I'm in the process of trying to acquire funds to help with impending redundancy, and to also help setup on my own as a design consultant/contractor. Unfortunately, that means that some of the toys have to go. If anyone is interested in anything, just give me a shout.
1. Wren MW54 mk3 turbine engine. This is a little over a year old, and was built from a kit supplied by Wren in 2007. It is the Full autostart engine, and comes built with a few minor internal modifications to improve the throttle response. It only has around an hour of run time, but hasn't been run for a couple of months. It was destined to go in a Boomerang Intro, but that has been replaced by another engine, so it is homeless at the moment. Included in the sale is the engine and autostart unit,Hausl fuel pump, gas and fuel solenoid valves, Autostart ECU, data terminal and gas screwdown regulator. It also includes a clamp around type engine mount, and everything is currently fitted to a test stand that can be clamped in a Workmate or vice. I can include that if required. I paid just shy of £1500 for everything, so to get a quick sale, I'll let it go for £1200, and even throw in a co2 fire extinguisher if you want one. Pictures on request, and I will happily demo it to anyone interested.
2. YT Edge 540 - 72" span. You may have seen me flying this last year, but it has to go. It was built from the YT international kit (made by Modeltech) and is fitted with Spektrum digital servos on all control surfaces (except the rudder, which is a Multiplex Tiger Digitial servo). The linkages are all Pete tindal carbon (3mm), overkill, but you can't beat a bit of security The model is currently setup as an electric model, fitted with an Axi 5330/18 motor, Castle Phoenix 85HV Esc, and a battery tray to suit 10s 5Ah lipo packs. The receiver fitted is a Spektrum AR7000, complete with an onboard flightlog for evaluating receiver performance. The radio system is powered by a seperate 5 cell nimh pack (3300mAh Gp3300 cells). I can sell it ready to go, including 2 10s 5Ah lipo packs for £500. If you just want the airframe and servos, you can have it for £100. It would make a very easy conversion back to IC (26cc petrol would suit it nicely), as I have not modified the firewall or bulkhead at all. I'm open to offers, so if you are interested, just give me a shout.
3. Shuttle XPC computer base unit. This is my old PC that is taking up space in the house and will not be used again. It is a Small form factor PC, and is fitted with 1GB ram, has an Athlon XP+2800 processor, a Radeon 9600 graphics card, a 80Gb hard disk, DVD re-writer drive, and has a built in Ethernet port, 5.1 surround sound, a 56k modem. It will be formatted before I sell it, so you would need a copy of windows to install on it. I do have a copy of the instruction manual for the motherboard. Yours for £100 Ono. It would make a perfect machine for the internet/music etc and will even run Solidworks, but it struggles on large assemblies.
4. Multiplex funjet-lite. Built as an experiment this winter, it is a standard Multiplex funjet, just built really lightly! It has a pair of HS65 servos installed, an AR6100 rx, a Castle creations Phoenix 10 esc, and a hyperion P1709-9 motor. It will turn a 6x4 prop at a shade over 10 amps on a 3s lipo (I have been using 700mAh packs). this will give you an almost vertical climb, and an all up weight of around 300 grams. This is over 250 grams lighter than the Multiplex standard build! It flies well in calm weather, but does get blown about a fair bit in windy conditions. I reckon it would fly well indoors (given a big space) but have never tried it. It would be an easy conversion back to standard for ballistic performance if required. It has not been painted at all, and has had about 10 flights in total. Yours for £100. If you dont want the motor/ESC/rx, you can have it for £40 (i.e. airframe and servos only).
That's it for now. Any questions, just ask. I'm happy to get some pictures if required, and if you want to see anything in particular, just let me know. I'm open to offers as always too
Cheers
