I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Sunday flying
Really nice to see a good turn out today all with big grins on the faces, it look like the season has started already..
Had a successful day with the Trex 700 Flybarless head, few good flights with that and then moved on to the 600.. Well happy after such a loooooong winter
Here is my new toy
here are few photos taken through the day !
Dave S had his maiden flight with his Trex 700, sweet, didn't even need to tweak anything a prefect set up
The Rhyl and district model helicopter flying club out in force !!
The Align fleet

Aye, it was good to see a cracking turnout down at the field yesterday. The Trex 700's look rather nice and solid in the air! I'm still squirrelling funds away for my gasser though, so it will be a fair few months before I can join in
The couple of hours I spent chucking my Blaster around, and forcing the woefully underpowered little wing into the air, has got me hoping for a good summer this year now! I've alreayd started checking over all the models from last year to make sure they are in tip-top condition, so fingers crossed for some more good weather, preferably when I am not working!

Re: Sunday flying
Sam....I am pretty sure I am right in thinking that mode mixing is OK between two compatible transmitters EG: A mode 1 Tx could interchange with a mode 2 Tx. Therefore, as there are many Spekky users down the field - including instructors, your options should be fairly good. For instance, if I did a bind on your model to a free memory on my mode 1 Tx, and used it as master, then you could be slave ( as all children should be ) with your mode 2 Tx.
As you will not be able to fly your model solo, the fact that its not bound to your tx should not matter to you. Other instructors willing to do the same, would /could do likewise with their Txs.

Well I am willing , and I am sure most if not all of the other club instructors would be willing to also.
