I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Fuel and general costs
Hi
Im looking around for the best deal on 10% glow fuel,
THIS is the best ive found so far. (better than rich at £15)
So spill the beans, where do you get your fuel from and how much do you pay?

Thanks

Re: Fuel and general costs
The majority ofthe fuel for my models comes from the plug socket in my workshop, or from the Car battery. The remainder comes from Caldo oils on the HTM business park in Rhuddlan.
Oh, the first is electrons by the way, and the second is premium grade paraffin!
For that old fashioned glow fuel stuff, a lot of people buy it in bulk at the model shows in the summer....

That's for 1/2 gallon, burnt your bridges there I think, simple math 2 x £9.95 = £19.90 a gallon, what a shame I have none left .
Re: Fuel and general costs
Fair enough if you add shipping it comes out at £24.09 per gallon.
Most sensible modellers get it from the shows at the beginning & end of season, you could give Kerin at Hobby Corner a ring he may well bring some with him to the Thursday meeting I personally use Beckra 10% but the TECHPOWER 10% 4.55 LIT (1 GAL) looks to be a very good specification fuel.

Re: Fuel and general costs
Weston Park (June), Woodvale (August) are the two local shows about 2 hours from Rhyl maybe 3 from Bangor of course we tend to go for long weekends so the travel costs are divided, if you are just going for fuel it's not economical, although you could ask someone to pick things up for you.
I've just checked Elite Models website if you order 1 gallon it's £7.50 carriage increase the quantity & the carriage stays the same so quite economical really

Re: Fuel and general costs
If your engine is still an OS46LA, you only need 5% fuel. But it's a plain bearing engine so go for the one with adequate lube oil.
