I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

How do they work and are they expensive to buy?
are they universal or only for specific Tx?

They are usually specific to the type of TX that you have. Some manufacturers use a common interface, but most have several different types of connector on the end.

FOr example, the JR ones are just a 3.5mm mono jack socket on each end. The Multiplex ones are 7 pin DIN sockets, futaba have about 10 different types as far as I know.

What TX do you want to link up, and what are you linking up to?

Cheers

The DX7 uses the same connector as a JR transmitter as far as I can remember. I'm sure someone with a DX7 can confirm that though.

I knew my memory was sort of working.... All you will need Sam, is a 3.5mm mono to 3.5mm mono lead, a couple metres long.

In fact, I might have a couple of sockets and some wire in the workshop, I'll double check for you Smile

I think I have an idea to make a jr/speky lead universal!!!
ive got these fms sim adaptors for different Tx's, but as I use speky I dont need any of them and I just whack it straight into my tranny with that 3.5mm mono thingy.
But these adapters are the female version of those mono 3.5mm connectors so would just slot on the end, and I have a square futaba, and large round one and a small round one, so in theory it should work and its not permanat either! So I can have an adjustable lead!!!

Yes, I am not sure the pin designations on the fuby socket will necessarily match up with the more simple mono jack plug terminations of the JR/Spekky stuff. Andy S will be likely better placed to tell you.

The Chanel sequence is different on JR?SPECKY to FUTABA thats why it does not work. There have been a few BLACK BOXS to get round this but I think that most were HOME made.
