I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Dead clutch on 600.
I was just giving my 600 a winter rebuild with new fuel pipe, main shaft bearings(they were a bit notchy),and just a general checkover.
I came to the clutch to find one of the shoes has fractured causing a bind and the liner is nearly all gone.
I've got the quick uk upgrade version here but I was wondering if I bond the liner into the clutchbell or just let centrifugal(I think I've spelt that wrong?) forces plant it in.
If I bond it in what is best to use?
Thanks.
Danny.

Re: Dead clutch on 600.
You need to glue the linner in with 1/2 hr epoxy
1 Clean up the bell and score the inside face for a good bond
2 Trim the new linner so it is a tight fit in the bell making sure the ends butt up true.
3 Wrap the new clutch with thin tape until it is a tight fit inside the new linner when assembled dry.
4 Score the new linner so as to give the epoxy a good key
5 Mix the epoxy and put a THIN skim on the bell then fit the linner and insert the tapped clutch to hold things true whilst it all dries.
6 Remove the tape and rebuild as normal.
I have done several this way and it works well

Re: Dead clutch on 600.
Cheers Dave,I shall follow those instruction this afternoon and hopefully do some flying this weekend.
I'm getting such bad withdrawals from this weather, thank god for the sim.
Only trouble is there's no tweaking to do on the sim,the bit I like most.
Cheers mate.
