I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Re: Andy's Belated christmas present....
Setting off one of them at the field would be worthy of a Youtube video or two I reckon!
Here's another clue for you. I know for certain that another member of our club (and forum!) has got a model from the same designer That one is a rather different kettle of fish to mine though

Re: Andy's Belated christmas present....
Bingo, the Jibe² is correct!
I'm going to open a book on how long it will last, before I lose sight of it, and it trys to bury itself......

Re: Andy's Belated christmas present....
Yep! I wanted something proper quick though. None of this looking pretty nippy, whilst actually not being that quick really type stuff....
What reports have you read anyway?!

Demon-sheman pah! that can wait till I write off this one.
I've been told it should be out of the moulds today, and ready for shipping next week Dave. I could have had one off the shelf, but I wanted a custom colourscheme, so or has been an extra 5 weeks whilst they make it.
Good Times!

Evening all,
Apparently, the Jibe² is on it's way from the Czech Republic, to Wales
I've been sent a few pictures of it too.
Nice and green!

Re: Andy's Belated christmas present....
I was actually thinking about starting a new racing class. F5Dr, pretty much identical to the normal F5D class, but with right hand turns instead. It makes it a bit better for those that learnt to fly right hand circuits only....

Re: Andy's Belated christmas present....
It seems the delivery Donkeys from the Czech republic finally made it through to North Wales! I got in from work to find a rather sturdy cardboard box sat on the doorstep, bearing the address of the place from whence it came. After wrestling with countless miles of bubble wrap, I've unpacked the airframe, and it is veerrrrrrry slick!
The finish is easily the shiniest I have seen on a model, and the green colouring is very, er green! You don't get much for your money though, just a single piece wing, a fuselage, a horizontal stabiliser a fin, and a small bag of bits including some nice moulded servo covers, a motor mounting disc, and some linkage bits.
The fuselage is nicely moulded from a carbon/kevlar mix and is extremely light indeed. They have cunningly designed the fuselage to be a rounded square section, perfect for cramming in some hefty lipos. Due to the carbon content, I'm going to have run the aerials externally on this one, so I'm on the lookout for some nice little fairings to suit a 2.4GHz aerial. Anyone got any ideas?
The wing is the most impressive bit of the kit though. I've not weighed it yet, but it seems to be quite light for it's size, but the strength and stiffness of it, is unbelievable. I'm sure my old cricket bat is more flexy than this chunk of carbon! The control surfaces are rather small too, although with something designed to cruise at 150mph plus, you don't really need massive control surfaces! They come with some really neat mylar gap seals too. I've measured up the servo bays, and I'm limited to a servo with a maximum thickness of about 9mm, so it's off to the interweb shops to find some nice strong, but thin, servos
Cheers

Re: Andy's Belated christmas present....
Errruuuch! I'll be using one of the Jeti receivers in this bad-boy. I'll probably chuck in a Current and voltage sensor to monitor the battery on board too. I may even see if I can knock up a little airspeed sensor too. Isn't telemetry great?!
