I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Tuesday 26th at Llysfaen
Greatings all you Vapor lovers
Fettle up your Vapors for the grand endurance challenge to be held this coming Tuesday.
The aim is to see who can put in the longest flight without landing on one battery pack.
There will be a mass launch and then its up to you to keep out of each others way for a change as once you are down you are out
There will also be a competition round a simple course against the clock.
Come one come all

Robed? I would hardly class those clothes of yours as robes!
Who won the slalom anyway? I heard a rumour it was a dashingly good looking pilot in a yellow van?

Re: Tuesday 26th at Llysfaen
Well what a night Our best atendance yet with 12 pilots signed in. Great to see Matts in the hall, I think he enjoyed himself with my Vapor
Sam brought an empty Vapor box all the way from Bangor so flew Barnsyboys most of the night.
The Slalom course was harder than it looked with the stage mounted step ladder hazard claiming a lot of victims and was won by Andy flying a borrowed Vapor in 25.5 seconds for a clear round. Brian was second with a clear in 28.6 seconds and Jem third in 29.3 seconds.
The endurance event was won by Roy Barness who landed after just over 19 minutes with capacity left in the battery. No exact time is available as Andys phone went off and wipped the stopwatch function being used to time the event. Brent landed at around 17.5 min and Barnsy expired at around 17.00 min.
I hold the record for shortest flight when my battery fell out at the 14 seconds mark
It is remarkable that a 3 channel aircraft can be flown for nearly 20 min on a 3.7 v 135 MAh battery.
We are allready working on an improved format for next month with possibly two identical courses side by side to speed up the proceedings.
If you did not come you missed a great night. See you all next Tuesday.
