I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Re: Whats Okkurin !
I was rather hoping to nip out for a few hours at some point, not sure when though. I fancy a few flights with the big glider...

The wind for the Orme seems to be all wrong for sloping so I was hoping to come to the field for a bit of electric fun if its not to water logged

Where from? I've been after a new pair of wellies for ages. I need size 13 or 14 too. And, perhaps more importantly, are they the type that has frogs eyes on the front?!
I've been working on my van again today. I now have heated and electrically adjustable seats, covered in Germany's finest cow hide. Apparently, it means ladies knickers will fall off the instant they get in the van.....

Re: Whats Okkurin !
I got them from Amazon in the end,£34.99.
They go up to size 16,you can get pink with furry tops if thats your favourite flavour?
I tried that Go outdoors place but they didn't turn up.
Just type in Wellingtons on the search thing and it comes up with about 300 different ones.
Danny.

Metcheck are giving W/WNW for Sunday which I have flown in before, or perhaps I'm just being hopeful. You know what they say, "Live in Hope die in Caergwrle"
Re: Whats Okkurin !
Thanks to Richie the strip pits and taxiway got a roll today, the pits are still a little rough but due to the amount of work that's gone on they're not too bad
Re: Whats Okkurin !

Re: Whats Okkurin !
Super job Rich, like your new toy I spoke with a Andy last night and asked the question about driving on. The concensus is that we do not drive on for a bit yet in case we get rain and the cattle mess things up when they arrive.

Re: Whats Okkurin !
No worries Dave.I'm looking at the trees and it's a little blowy at the mo here.
The weather says it may ease off later so I'm gonna check over my 600 and cross my fingers.
Gotta fly.
Danny.

Re: Whats Okkurin !
Speaking as Ex groundstaff and ex committee member I would say it's fine to drive on at the moment but members must be aware that should the weather take a turn for the worse (rain), which lets face it at this time of year is almost inevitable, that they must then revert to parking down by the gate again. The final decision obviousy rests with the committee
Re: Whats Okkurin !
Its blowing down here as well Danny. Anyway just put plugs on my new starter batteries and they are on their first 14 hour slow charge so I will have a working starter by tommorow
I agree with Brian, its drivable at the moment but we must bow to the committee on this one.

Re: Whats Okkurin !
Drove past the field this morning about 10.15 and saw Rich and Brian taking the fence down. Thought to myself Blimey they're keen!! Came past again at 11.30 and they'd gone. Now I know why. Nice work. I'm sure all the members appreciate your efforts. Cheers
