I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Re: Another new Toy
I've just got two large box's as well ! Unfortunatly the largest one has a hole right through it into the inards
Unpacking will tell all ; Hopefully all will be OK.
Andy, are you sure. Looks like a paper dart to me But, my eyes aren't so good.

Re: Another new Toy
I'm about 95% sure yes. The cone at the intersection of the fin and horizontal stab (braking parachute I think) and the little overhang on the top of the Jet pipe give it awa I reckon.
I'm wondering if it will be EDF, or turbine powered though. I'm putting money on EDF, and judging by the size of the control surfaces, I reckon it will be about 48" wingspan, possibly a little bit smaller.....

Re: Another new Toy
EDF! No prop hanging then
Damage to my new toy limited to the covering. Depressed covering on top of port wing . May come out with gentle heat but there are sharp edges to the depression which may split (probably caused by square poll thrust into box). Awaiting Globalrc instructions as to actions.

Re: Another new Toy
Nope. But if you spec the power system correctly, you should be able to "fan hang"

Re: Another new Toy
Brian, Just the film has a sharpish depression, no structural damage. But, as I said earlier there are sharp edges to it in places. It looks like a square pole has been thrust into the box. The corners of the poll causing the sharp edges. In total its only a small area but in a very visable place. If the covering should split on heating, to draw out the depression, then ***@@@!!!!

Re: Another new Toy
Just had a phone call from Globalrc. Hold tight on doing anything, the've put a claim in to TNT and they may want to see the damage. Globalrc will call me tomorrow to advise.

Re: Another new Toy
Oooooh, get you and your afterburner!
I assume it will be one of the LED ring type burners, not the fact your packs will be on fire? Have you already sourced one of them, because I have had one on my "to do" list for a while now....
