I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Sunday 1st March
Got to the field for about 11.30 to find it windy and cold Zaids new toy was being run up by Leigh but the general feeling was that it was to windy for it
Mark had his new Raptor in the air and I think he enjoyed hovering in the wind
Oh the concentration!!
Canopy shows up well
The head speed was not low just my shutter speed a bit high
Anyway my toys stayed in the car and I went for and early bath yet again.
Rich arrived as I was leaving and I hope he had better luck.
Keep well

Re: Sunday 1st March
Happy St David's day to you all, I was 'nt sure I'd made the right decision when driving past the field on route to the Orme this morning as it was pretty calm at that time but when I got to the Orme the breeze was spot on the west face and super lift, and from reading the above posts it sounds like my decision was good. There was a gang of guys over from Stoke and the surrounding area on the Orme plus loads of locals John Bowman Bob Gadsby Simon Jem Mathews and Mats Akkeson to name but a few, had a good time and flew to around 5.30 nights are drawing out lovely time of year.
Re: Sunday 1st March
Is it just me, or do the Raptor canopies look pig ugly?
I've been on a mega mountain biking session today; 32 miles around Llyn Brenig, Alwen reservoir and the Clocaenog Forest. It was a right laugh, and I even managed half an hour of chucking the Alula around whilst SWMBO was cooking lunch down by the waters edge
I decided against flying this afternoon though, choosing some workshop time instead.

Re: Sunday 1st March
Thanks for the Pics Dave,
Yes once we fired engines up mother nature decided it was time to end the no wind start to the day leaving us with a steady 10mph, Rappy had to fly so had 4 flights on her still need to fine tune the settings but today wasnt the day,
Andy your right it is pig ugly, particuly that one, Leigh has a v2 canopy to spray for me so should be looking bling some time soon
