Great Orme 16.10.10

Well what a afternoon, we spent 3 hours fookin about with no lift only just making a curcit with my weasal and a couple of test glides with SR-1 untill we disided to stop being lasy and head over to a new slope for us in search of wind. the map shows the normal car park and then were we ended up flying from:



We wondered over with just my Wesal as we wernt expecting much and the light was going ten minutes later Rich was heading back to the car for SR-1!

I had a 25min+ flight then landed to help Rich with SR-1, in still marginal condition she was away, a few clicks of trim and she was flying a treat, up and down the slope and climbing well in the limited lift, both of us were well pleased with how she flew. Rich landed her safley but only after the Sun had set lol

Cant wait for tomorrow, to get my hands on her in a good wind! Boys she;s gonna be quick!!!!!!!!!

Did you push out from the slope you were on or did you stay close in ? in the past when we have flown from there we found that if you had the bottle to push out over the sea there was a lot more lift ( but not always LOL )

Your Right G, the more you pushed out the better the lift was, only prob we had was the light i.e it went dark on us

Anyway here is the FULL maiden for you all to enjoy

Very dark footage of SR-1 flying, check out the lights on the rig's out to sea thats how dark it was and my camera didnt like it, but at least you can tell she flew

I have flown that spot before guys, and ina northerly n/easterly its a good un.

The wind looks to be westerly, so probably up the tank tracks

WSW - and the turbines are confirming that as I look out over the back garden.
XC reckons 15MPH or so, and it is picking up as the morning progresses, so should be spot on by mid afternoon.
