Wasn't expecting help today with the weather being so bad, but was genuinely touched to see a van load of soggy volunteers waiting when I arrived at the field!
Thank you so much Gentlemen, your help was truely appreciated today, even if we did come away empty handed and all ended up soaked to the bone and frozen!

No harm in trying a fly over Tim, although to be honest, between us, we covered a lot of ground today with not even a sniff of it! It just seems to have vanished!
Lesson learned, I Will fit a 5 quid model locator in my next one I think! Crying or Very sad

From the electric box on the edge of the strip, it was heading just to the left of the police helicopter station.
Black and yellow striped top - 2 inch black and white check on the bottom!

Why don't you pop along to the police heli pad & ask them to have a look next time they are up & about, they know we fly from the field, we have also visited them a couple of times. You could try & get the phone number for them as well.

They can only say no at the worst

School closed early today cos the heating was knackered so went out for another hour and a half at lunch time with still no luck!
Actually thought about going to see the heli dudes but were loads of "no trespassing" "no entry" and P*ss off leave us alone" type signs all over the place.
Might make a few enquiries! No harm in trying!

Hmmm - had a good look on line, but no direct contact details for the helipad.
I will call in tomorrow after work and have a chat! Hopefully they will let me in for a chat, rather than having to have a conversation at the gate over the intercom - could be awkward! Rolling Eyes
