I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

ICG 540 GYRO
Dug out my Raptor 30 with an ICG 540 gyro installed. To check/modify gyro parameters there is a PC link cable and software. Thats the problem, software on floppy disc and my computer does not have a floppy drive. Anybody, preferably local to Abergele(Andy), still useing a PC with a floppy drive so that I can transfer the program to a more modern USB/SD card device???

Hi Allan,
I don't have a floppy disc drive sorry, I last owned one of them back in 2003! I'm not aware of one at work either, but I can find out tomorrow morning...
Sorry, Andy

I have a 3.5 floppy drive in the spares box. I know it works as I had to use it recently for something for work. You're welcome to borrow it or bring or send the floppy here and I can transfer the data over

Re: ICG 540 GYRO
By a ribbon cable and power lead. Its an internal drive
But even easier, you can download the software directly from CSM's website here: - http://www.rcmodels.org/csm/icg540.htm
Good luck!

Re: ICG 540 GYRO
Aha, I'm affraid not. Been there and tried that. It would not work with my OS (Vista). Asked one of CSM's people for help but no go. So the transfer of data (assuming it will let me) to a different storage medium is the way to go.

Re: ICG 540 GYRO
I can lend you a USB floppy drive. Works on Vista or XP and in My Computer it shows it as Drive "A". Let me know if that would do for you.
It won't format floppies though, but thats not a problem cos can format them elsewhere.
