I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Re: Zagi or similar wanted
lol
Glad you enjoyed it!
I had a blast! if only the wind was a bit stronger, it would of been great and might of blown over the mist sooner, but still, they flew great!
lol I bet those goats pooped themselfs with me doing fast flyby's over there heads lol!
Ive asked mark and he doesnt really want to sell his combat wings as he may get the urge to use them again!

Re: Zagi or similar wanted
Hello Barney, welcome to the forum
I'm 99% certain I have got an old Zagi in my workshop. I have no idea what condition it is in though sorry. I'll check for you this evening though, and let you know. I have a feeling that it might need re-covering though....
If it is there, you are welcome to have it...

Thanks!!!!!!
Hi Andy,
I'm actually very surprised how friendly everyone is in the club - an old zagi would be PERFECT as apparently they are good sturdy planes to begin with.
I can easily buy some covering tape so that seems ideal.
Thanks,
Barney

Re: Zagi or similar wanted
You shouldnt be surprised Barney.....this hobby /sport is renowned for its friendly and encouraging attitude to people - especially youngsters.
We should all try and encourage the younger generation to get off their computers and out into the real world, with real people.
Hope Andy has got the Zagi now, or he will have to get one quick somehow
I reckon if you ask around nicely, you will also probably get the servos and radio gear for next to nothing.
There is a ton of surplus, perfectly good 35Mhz stuff floating about these days.

Re: Zagi or similar wanted
Good news!
I uncovered the Zagi in my workshop last night. It was like an archaeological dig going back 6 years getting at it! The good news is that it is in surprisingly good condition! The covering is all stuck down well (although the red and blue tape used is a bit garish). All it needs is a receiver, battery, and a bit of a cover/canopy type thing making.
I'll bring it with me to Llysfaen tonight
