I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

At the field, dry (just finished snowing) icy patches cold and no wind, just perfect. Already had one flight with the 700. A lot better than last time :-)

Just had my first fly of the year with the Mini Titan in the back garden Very Happy If that was not cold enough then went to watch Zaid freeze at the field.

Thanks for the company Dave. Bob G also stopped by to say hello which was nice. Had a really nice day (well three hours)

The heli is doing well, very stable and done first loops today, engine is happy with plenty of power and smoke, but I am still having a great deal of difficulty starting the engine, it seem to hydro lock even when no fuel is going through it, yet I can turn it by hand scratch . Tried to use different power supplies to power up the starter but still no joy Mad

Good day all in all

there maybe fuel lying in the lower crankcase which isn't drawn up when you turn it over by hand, the extra speed when using the electric starter draws the fuel up into the combustion chamber & locks it out, I'd be a bit careful as those engines can't be cheap, but there again would you have the same trouble if you converted it to petrol....................... at what cost though

I see by the pics you broke the ice today

If you always land the last flight of the day inverted Zaid it will probably help with that problem New Year flying start ? Icon_idea but could possibly lead to some other issues though New Year flying start ? Suspect
