I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

It certainly is mate.
Real flight G5.5 is meant to be good as well but with phoenix you get free updates all the time. That means loads for new heli's free, woohoo!
Real flight you have to purchase the extra models seperate.
Have fun.

Danny.

I have Reflex XTR2
(Latest capable of 3d with new graphic driver as now advertised by J Perkins, uses own Tx with dongle.) Also works with existing Reflex iVol controller soon to be re-released through new sponsor as "blu" with option of Jeti built in 2.4G Tx module) Vast improvement to simulation program with version XTR2 Now has free internet updates of program, models, scenery and you can design your own planes.

Aerofly Professional Deluxe. Still very good, uses own Tx and if wished another USB capable controller, 2 models at once on one screen.

Phoenix
Doesn't matter how old the disc is in the box, it's the dongle cable that makes it work.
Once installed, free updates off internet available to get you up to date.
Noting Mark B's adventures with Marty and Zaidy of going on line together, I noticed they were using the "Beta" Version. I've now loaded that and have to admit that this program really does wipe out all the rest for me.
My current version is 3.0j (Beta)

So Go Phoenix

It's no good, I lasted as long as I could before I changed the title of the thread so it was spelt right Smile

I have a copy of Reflex Xtr. The flight physics are not bad, but the user interface is a crock of, err, well, you know.

Phoenix looks nice. I may have to invest in a copy sometime in the future Smile

Now you can get something called SIMSTICK which is a ? USB fitting where by you attach your RX 6100 /6100A and your sim dongle and then you can fly wireless with your TX, its really good. the down side to that is it cost £29.99.. Very Happy

This arrived today
Dear R/C-Enthusiast,

the iVol blue finally is available. It's a milestone of modern technology and allows a lot of things we have been waiting for:
- model programming on the PC, using real keyboards, mouse and a screen.
- usage of third party programmed models directly from web sources, teachers, ellows of specialists.
- third party operating system for special applications i.e. military, robotics or UAV, OEG etc.
- real expandability! Not only switches and channels. iVol can be cascading if you want.
- signal compatible to JETI Duplex including telemetrics.
- As the first system we can use the return channel signal for radio programming, allowing totally new game ideas or applications.

iVol blu - the system for the future. Check
http://shop.baltic-seagull.de/index.php?page=index for details.

Cheers

Yes Brian, I saw that, please don't shoot the messenger. Far too expensive.

My iVol, all black, came when I traded my earlier dongle towards having the later program on disk and the iVol hand USB controller. The iVol works instead of a dongle. You can, instead, use your own trannie via the USB in mini socket on the iVol top.
The second one (Yellow covers) came direct with another program disk from Europe after part exchanging a second hand dongle. I got the second unit as a spare.

Eventually I was offered the Reflex XTR 2 disc from reflex for 15 Euro and that runs the new program which is very good. There seem to be free updates every few days.

However the first iVol has developed a pot fault on elevator, (No Down) and the other is still OK.

Well someone had to try it. Oh yes it needs a whopping graphics card to work well.

So Yes Reflex XTR2 seems excellent but .....

So do I, Just if the weather is bad or I cant make it to the field, it helps to have something realistic to practice on, also if I want to learn a new move etc and It should be beifitial when I start to learn to prop hang and If I hit the deck, it wouldnt matter just reset.
