I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Friday 15th
Afternoon all.
Anyone out flying this afternoon? I'm hoping to nip down to the field at about 5pm-ish to re-maiden the little Komet. It has been "breathed" on slightly after I got trampled on at the 3DRC "Speed" slot last weekend
Cheers

Re: Friday 15th
It's currently very calm in Abergele. No wind at all (so probably blowing a gale at the field hah haaa!) XC weather is showing 3mph at Rhyl and Prestatyn.
It's overcast, but I don't think it will rain. I'll pop those voltage regulators in the car with me
Cheers

Re: Friday 15th
Indeed. Electrics and rain do mix!
I've had another test flight with my Komet, after souping it up somewhat. I'm now running a 6s lipo (instead of a 3s) with a lower kV on the same prop. The net result is that the current is hovering around 28amps, and the input power is hovering around 600 Watts! It was noticeably quicker, but the prop could do with a bit more pitch to get the ultimate speed
Fingers crossed the heavy wind, forecast for tomorrow, will change its mind and stay at home...
Cheers
