I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Saturday May 12th
Been to the field this afternoon, it's still very wet underfoot, Neil was the only one down there flying although he did say a couple of flyers had been but not stayed. I left without flying but did get a few shots of Neil's Trex 600 which he's running in after a recent rebuild.

I like the pics Brian thanks..I've Never seen my heli's in the air, in a pic..
After a long call with alan head (Tim you did say get ready for a long call LOL) bought a fusion 46 he said its just like a wing thing but can take a nock a bit better, and I wouldn't notice the differents between them.
So tim..I might need some help late next week to get it up in the air

Re: Saturday May 12th
I got down to the field about 20 minutes before Niel.
It was a bit breezy with a reasonable wind across the strip!
With my wrist still not great I chanced taking my foamie up, but the wind was way too much for it, It was an epic battle which ended after about 8 minutes in me parking it nose first just off the strip - more repairs required now then!
Bit the bullet and decided to maiden the funfly despite the wind which I was very very pleased with - 2 clicks of down trim - jobs agoodun! Flew really well - no nasty surprises at all - lovely landing too I might add!
Only real downside to today was the fact I managed to slice off the side of my knuckle whilste tuning the new engine. The needle valve is further forward on this new irvine, and gripping the pin from underneath saw my knucle in the path of the blade!
With stabbing myself on Friday, and todays fun and games too, I felt an Avatar change was in order! Hopefully be down the field next weekend where I fully intend to break my leg, and wrench my arm out of its socket!

Thats what the misses said - I Bought one this afternoon actually - its sitting comfortably in my flight box!

Luckily I had a couple of big plasters in the car. Forgot about the kit in the peg box though!
Joking aside, It would be worth checking the contents after the winter months - plasters and bandages tend to go a bit green and furry outdoors after a while - even in sealed containers!

Good call....actually the fusion is a very fine little model, but that witches hat fin makes it a bigger combat target, and somehow...it just dont seem to have quite the hitting power of the 'ol Wildthing. I hope you will be pleased with the much inferior "Wind thing" LOL.
