I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Thursday 10th September
Well another first for RDMFC. This afternoon Zaid and I managed a midair between two T Rex 600 helicopters
The result was spectacular to say the least and we both had time to hit throttle hold and watch the bits fall out of the sky. As usual in these cases no one had a camera on us at the time so the only pics I have are of the debris.
The bits, note bannana shaped LIPO.
No ones fault just bad luck.
Fast Lad is in for a large spares order unless the cost of rebuild is over the cost of a new machine which in my case is likely
On a lighter note, Mark seems to have found a machine that
1. he can keep up with
2. gives him a huge rush each time he flies it.
See you at the field soon, got to go, got a T Rex to strip down

Re: Thursday 10th September
Just finished the strip down. As always once stripped and cleaned things do not look as bad as I thought. I have some parts in stock and the spares bill now looks like being under 150.00 which is half the price of a new kit. Luckily you can get the CF frames as singles so there is a cost saving as only one of mine is broken. It looks like a rebuild is on the cards and I can still afford to eat next week.
The Raptor is charged so its off to bed now, see you at the field tommorow

Re: Thursday 10th September
So far the bill is
Sub-Total: £312.21, still missing 1or2 items + P&P, can't make up my mind if
a: to buy the spares.
b: right it off and use it for spares
c: buy a new kit for £480 take what I need and sell the extras
d:just get a Trex 700
As you can see I am on the net checking out deals and all that S**T.

Zaidy, stop fannying about, and get that 700 kit ordered, you know it makes sense....
I'm truly gutted that I missed the mid-air spectacular yesterday. Next time, can we plan it a bit better so that we can have a slow motion video replay please?!!
Cheers
Andy
