I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

27.4.11 Last orders
Myself and Rich arrived just after 7 as Bob G and Mike were leaving. We were soon joined by Allan P and John OD for a cracking hour or so's flying.
I had the Edge dancing a merry dance, John OD was flying a pretty cool looking delta with the most amasing launch, Allan was flying his new yellow desiel powered thing (sorry cant remeber the name) which flew very well. And Rich spent the eveing picking his flash up out of the long grass.

Being as I was cutting the grass this afternoon I had me chopper out, almost forgot how to do it but it came back to me eventually Forecasts good for tomorrow but then goes pearshaped for the weekend
Re: 27.4.11 Last orders
Just curious - where do you all get your weather forecasts from?
As far as I can see the weekend is supposed to be lovely again - 19 degrees and bright sunshine!

I use XC weather Ben they're forecasting strong easterly winds and not quite as warm as 19 degrees

just a polite question to any Instructor, are you supposed to land before the short grass? or on the short grass that Brian cuts so well

Nothing polite about that John, it's a direct hit on an examiner/instructor, but as the saying goes "do as I say, not what I do"
