Flying wing plans

Post by Stubbsy on Wed Jan 05, 2011 9:04 am

Anyone got or know of any decent flying wing plans?
Thinking of trying to make something similar to a powered zagi but bit bigger!
Haven't balsa built for a while so getting the urge to break out my posh pins and pva glue!

Cheers for the input!
Ben......

Sliced and Dried tree bashing eh?

Probably not to the size you are after, but this is quite nice:

You could perhaps scale it up? In fact, the DXFs for the parts are posted on that site, so you could even save the hassle of cutting parts yourself, and get Rich to blast them out on his fricking laser Wink

Micron also have some plans, again they seem to be for the smaller end of things though. Again, they could be scaled up Smile

If you want IC I've got the plans and instructions from a 'RAPIER' kit you could get copied. About 4' span for a 0.45 - 0.52 (+ a pipe would be good). I think there was an electric conversion in the mags some time back(something lik 4 cells and 50+A). If you zoom in, ignoring Lee's builders cleavage, on the 'trouser launch' photo on Boggles album you'll get some idea of the looks

Cheers for the help fella's, loads to choose from!
I actually really like the look of that little lalysee glider aswell Andy - might have to get two projects on the go and clog up the kitchen table with "my crap" as well as the shed! Very Happy
