AHH, never mind..

I did go to the field with today and met up with Brent and Danny. We had a really good days heli flying although it was blowing 14mph (according to Apple wind meter) and gusting a bit..
Cob webs are off I am pleased to report .

Was a cracking afternoon at Deeside, nice to see Gary and PDQ pop along to helping supour a great local event (I heard talk of over 200 quid to book the hall, so the more the merrier)

It was also the first time ive flown m big milled yak 55 (those at the club night will have seen it on the table) I was really enjoying flying it right up untill i flew the RBBB Yak 55 although ours is slightly smaller and heavier it really is a better freestlye plane. The big light one just dosnt have the weight to carry it through some of the more frantic moves!

The BBUM Yak also got it first proper outing too, flew very well but would benifit from being abit lighter.

EIM Practise went well too so things are looking up

Last but not least a got to play with the supurb GR Designs Mini Extra with an all up weight of 55grm and over 2.1 power on tap this thing blew me away, Ive got some vid of designer Graham "rolling" Roscoe flying it that i will post up some time.

Mark glad to hear you had a good time. I would have considered indoor flying if I had anything to fly!!

Its really funny I was chatting to Brent about it this afternoon. If Dave was still around he would have repaired the indoor fleet while I was away !!

Might get up early tomorrow morning and get some work done before Tuesday indoor flying sessions !!

wow was that a result of a crash or a crash the result of engine failure

I looked at it in the flesh and reckon the engine failure caused the crash and not vice versa

Well, it was flying fine until there was a bang and everything stopped !!

I can not be 100% certain that the damage was due to engine failure or impact.

However,

1, The impact site was on soft ground, the canopy is hardly damaged and the blade have a bit of damage but not much !

2, Could not find any small broken bits in the area of the impact

Not even sure how to go about proving to the shop that the engine went pop, hence the damage!! Will call them tomorrow and see what the say :-(
