I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ

Thanks for the kind words Steve. But I think their / footage is rather good, especially as he/they/them are a production company they will have the edge.
What I can't figure out is how he managed to get through to Cado (sorry if I miss spelled it) to get permission !
Hey ho and all that...

Zaidy I've asked my wife Jane about this as she was told by Cadw to refuse people access with quads etc during opening hours at the site. There are two "Rhuddlan Castle" pages on Facebook one was set up by Jane at the request of Cadw and to that end they supplied her/the castle with a digital camera plus I also contributed a fair few photographs, There are two links on the site to this video, but we've no idea who posted them (the joys of Facebook) and one takes you direct to Cadw's own site so whoever made this video has found a connection into Cadw. The Castle's now closed for the winter so Jane at the moment doesn't wish to get too involved she is however doing some part time work at Conwy castle over the next couple of months so she'll try to suss something out but don't hold your breath

Re: Might be of interest
I haven't watched the vid but they might not have had permission?

Hi Brian
Thanks for that Brian, the same impression I got when I was asking around !
I if the guy did get permission and there is no reason to think otherwise as he has posted something on a public domain he must know someone high up! Good luck to him, I say. I actually was going to ask him on youtube whom did he contact to get permission!
Re: Might be of interest
At first I thought it was just some chancer having posted it to FB which is easy to do, but there is now a link to it on Cadw's official website. Now whether the person who shot the video has a contact within Cadw I don't know, it may be some minion in Cadw's IT department who found the video on YT and decided to link to it in a bid to climb the greasy pole if you get my drift

Lol,,
Thanks Brian
Re: Might be of interest
Not sure if this is relevant but I found this link on CADW's website. Looking towards the bottom of the page it seems that anyone can film at a CADW site for free if news or current affairs provided a formal application is made in advance, or for a fee otherwise. It gives a phone number
Possibly a deal could be made where 'you drop the fee and we give you the footage for free use on your website' type of thing
