I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Rc factory yak 55 build thread.
Right well I've bit the bullet and ordered a rc factory yak 55 v2 which should be here Tuesday.
It's a bit big for indoors but I couldn't resist.
I have no idea what I'm doing with the build as this is my first wingy thingie type of build,so any help with it would be very much appreciated.
I went for the power set combo so the electrics are as follows,
Axi 2217/16
Jeti Eco 25
Apc 10x4.7 slow flying prop
Axi prop holder
The bits I already have are,
Hyperion 3s 1600's
Savox 0257 servos x3
Align ds425 servo for the rudder
6100 reciever.
A bottle of medium ca glue
Is there anything else that I need?
Danny.

How do you guys stick the servos into these things?
I've got medium ca glue, 20 minute epoxy or hot glue.

Sounds good to me.
When I put the motor in, do I fit it nice and flat against its mount or do I have to point it in one direction or another?
It should be here tomorrow so I'll get started right away, with pictures in case I do something wrong.
Strange things these foam things with wings.

I'm sure the down thrust & right thrust are built into the foam Danny
I used medium & thick cyno for everthing with kicker, go sparingly as it creates a lot of heat as it reacts to the kicker

Thanks Rich, I'll order some kicker in the morning.
Looking forward to building this now.

Re: Rc factory yak 55 build thread.
Well an interesting day all around.
I've got no pictures yet because frankly my hands got more than a little glue on them.and I didn't want to leave sticky fingers on my camera.
The wings are on and I used epoxy 30 minute for them which seems to be solid.
I wish the wings could've been pegged into the backbone.
This is the primordial soup of planes. When the courier came to the door I couldn't believe it. It was Fred flintstone, and he still uses concrete wheels.
Tomorrow I'll try and update with a picture and then I'm gonna need help with regard to radio fitting and setup.

Re: Rc factory yak 55 build thread.
Just a quick update. Looking at the wings and backbone this morning I'm not happy with the mess I've made. It just doesn't look as neat as it should be.
I've sent for another kit and some more varieties of glue, including some of that UNO por that mark mentioned.
I'm still going to complete the one I've started as a practice run and throw some cheap and cheerfull radio in it as a basher, and take my time with the second kit.
Hopefully I won't be so covered in glue doing the second one so should be able to take some pictures.
