I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ

Another new Blade.450 this time.eta April.
I just found this coming soon.
It's a bit bigger than the Blade 400 and appears to be of a higher spec.
I'm not a huge fan of the Blade 400 but this looks like it could be good value for money and a good beginner model.

Price for the bind and fly version is £215 and I think it's built with all the electrics and lipo included.
Not bad.
Danny.

Danny really not a good idea for a beginner to start off on electric helis Im sure you will agree!
30 size ic models with lots of help from a club member is reccomended.

To be honest Steve that is the way I did it and I'm glad I did it that way.

I learnt to hover, and basic circuits on leccy helis too. It started with a Piccolo fixed pitch jobby, then a MS Hornet, followed by a Trex 500e.... Although, I am perhaps not the best example, as I can't be doing with IC models
Well, apart from a couple of petrols it seems...!

Nothing wrong with that, you did it the way you felt was best.
I'll never forget my first flight with a nitro, with Dave and Zaide next to me.
Dave trimmed it out first and then passed me the controller and I was absolutely terrified.
I ended up using the 450 more while I tried to get used to the A test but ended up doing the test with my 500 because I was too scared of the 600.
And now Andy

It looks like it's time for that maiden.
Do you feel ready?

Re: Another new Blade.450 this time.eta April.
On a serious note I think the fact it's IC or leccy doesn't matter so much but I think the smaller 450's for a beginner outdoors can get away and become smaller still very quickly and present orientation difficulties for the novice pilot, just my two cents

Re: Another new Blade.450 this time.eta April.
That is a very true point that Brian, It's part of the reason I sold the 500, and bought a 700. I was finding it rather difficult to orientate the 500 when starting to fly bigger circuits. That said, I've seen the light now, and fluorescent orange highlights are now my bestest friend
Cheers
