I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Frsky FASST-compatible TFR8 8ch receiver
Ive just bought 2 Frsky FASST-compatible TFR8 8ch receivers from giant cod, one has a really good range and the other has a range of about 7 feet and in Power Down Mode 1 foot
Has anybody else tried these receivers?
Now wondering if ive just been unlucky and got a dud or are they are all hit and miss

Re: Frsky FASST-compatible TFR8 8ch receiver
At the moment I've only got one 4 Ch R/X and have another one on the way via Gary. The one I do have has to date worked faultlessly in my Wildthing but is obviously not an 8Ch like you have Pete. It does sound like you've dropped for a duff one Pete. I'd get in touch with GC ASAP.
P.S I've just checked the title of this thread are the ones you have Fasst compatible ie can they be used with a Futaba T/X or are they like mine and have to be used with a Frsky module ? We may be at cross purposes here

I've just checked the Big fish's site and can't see any Fasst compatible ones advertised so assume that like me you have the Frsky module ?

Aghh cheers Mark I didn't spot that when I had a quick look earlier, so sorry Pete I've no experience of those at all, it does still however sound like you've got a bad one.
Only other thing I can say on the genuine Futaba stuff there's a different setting on the tranny for receivers above 7 Channel but I would have thought if you'd got that wrong then both receivers would be acting the same

Re: Frsky FASST-compatible TFR8 8ch receiver
Ive emailed GC this morning and hopefully be able to return it
Think il be trying the good receiver in an old model first!
Didnt know i had to change a setting for receivers over 7 channel, il have a look at that.
Thanks for the advise
