I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

I hear what you are saying Rich Laughing

Well, the day started out very well slight breeze from the north west and the sun was out too. Dave S, Jeremy and Leigh arrived at the field around 11.30 am. Leigh came with a couple of nice looking models but the prop was in the wrong place on both models, one at the front and the other at the back scratch In fact one of them was a beautiful SU 47, very impressive and it moves pretty fast, I fancy it a lot.
Jeremy came in with two models (Helis) which he had 18 months to prepare and setup, he had his first flight and it was just like riding a bike he was up in the air doing all sorts, I remember thinking to myself at the time maybe just maybe one day I can be this good Very Happy. That is until he got his other model set ready to fly, I use the term ready to fly loosely here Arrow by defying the laws of physics and how helis stay up in the air with everything turning in the right direction Laughing but he did get it up and throw it about once he had it all re built on the bench in the field in 10 or so minutes affraid I think he can make a good formula one team pit mechanic scratch Good effort Jeremy cheers
Dave had a few good flights and as usual the D Sargent Heli Mechanic Consultancy Service were required by me to help tweak my heli, thanks again Dave cheers
And I had few good flights too, no hairy moments thank god cheers
Around three o'clock the wind picked up a bit and it was becoming hard to fly about and it was getting cold too.

All in all an excellent day had by all

Rich, you're not the only one wishing he was retired!

I'm wondering if we should consider renaming the club this year? The Rhyl and District Model Helicopter Flying Club.....

Cheers

I don't mind the heli's as long as they don't get in the way of the proper aeroplanes or hover on the strip because there scared to fly around (me comes to mind here) Embarassed

A quote from you Andy "Seriously though" it's brilliant to see new flyers in the club no matter how old, what mode or type of model they fly (I think that' s just about covered everbody) it's got to be good for RDMFC.

I hope this proves all the rumours aren't true about us
