I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Dave sergeant
Thanks to zaid and brent for coming to daves cottage today and sorting out his engines and flight batteries etc. Dave is making slow but positive continuing progress. Be great if he had a few more visitors from the club.

Re: Dave sergeant
Paul - we were thinking of going this afternoon also - and wonder if you could make it on an alternative date ? Too many visits is tiring for the patient - and with you living a lot closer than us, maybe we could "swap" ? We need to go today as I need to visit the eye hospital.

Zaid, I've probably got several from various times. Might be a day or two before I can dig them out

Re: Dave sergeant
that is great Allan thanks.
The book is ready and I am taking it tonight. If you could take them with you when you visit with some scotch tape !! and put them in the book. Alternatively email them to me and I will print them out and stick them on when I visit on Sunday.

Re: Dave sergeant
Been to see him this afternoon and we were both VERY pleased with the difference in him from a week or so ago. Talking quite well compared to then, and smiling and generally looking much happier.
I agree with the earlier comment - more of his club mates and friends should be visiting him to give him as much encouragement as psossible!!

Hi Allan
The book is A4 and I have printed 6x4, you can stick to prints to a page and still have room for comments. Thanks Allan.
Just been to see Dave, bless him he was fast a sleep. I guess he had a busy day..
Will see him again on Sunday with a full Weston Park Report :-)
John D and Marty, Thanks you very much for the emails, they have been placed in the book but unfortunately couldn't read them to Dave this evening.
Best Regards

Re: Dave sergeant
Went yesterday PM about 2:45. Tim and Rahme were already waiting to see Dave but he was with a nurse. Tim had to go to his Eye appointment and shortly after, Dave was ready for visitors.
He was dressed, alert, beard trimmed and had his glasses on. I was so pleased to see and hear how well he is progressing in his recovery. Spent about 10- 15 minutes with him.
Afterwards, the duty nurse explained he is doing very well. However, it became very clear to me that all the staff there really do put all their heart and soul into caring for all the patients there. A remarkable place. The very best he could get at any price.

Thanks for that Paul, I'm so sorry I hav'nt had the time to visit, I'm sure if Dave were his old self he would understand.
Re: Dave sergeant
Just been to see Dave. I met Steve Price there. we took old Dave out for a walk (in a wheel chair) for 30 min or so for a bit of sun and fresh air. There were two horses in the field a cross from his ward, gave Dave some grass (green not the funny stuff) and he fed the horses. I think he enjoyed being out for a bit of a walk.

Re: Dave sergeant
Lovely pictures there Steve.
I went on saturday and went for a wander round the carpark and he pointed each turn out on the way back, excellent progress.
Still upsetting everytime I see him though.
