I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

Evening all.

As you might be aware, I am currently attempting to "go it alone" and do away with salaried employment. I am hoping to set up a design consultancy, which is basically a posh way of saying that I will be a contractor, and will design stuff for anyone that pays! With that in mind, I thought I would put an exploratory post on here, on the off chance that someone might want something doing.

I have around 5 years experience as a Senior Design Engineer, working on a wide range of projects from conceptual product design to tool design to custom machinery design. I have worked in many industry areas including aerospace, automotive, electronics, consumer products and industrial automation to name a few. Most of my work has been as a Mechanical/Conceptual Design Engineer, but I have also a fair bit of experience of PCB Design/Layout. I am able to produce high quality conceptual/mechanical designs for all sorts of applications, covering all sorts industry areas. I use SolidWorks 3D CAD software, and Altium Electronic design software for most of my work.

So, if you need a Design Engineer to do any Design work for you, or you know of someone that might need one, please feel free to get in touch or pass my details on. As I am not officially set up just yet, any work will be done for "mates rates", i.e. very low prices! I shall hopefully have a website up and running in the near(ish) future to show some examples of work, and go into more detail of what I am capable of doing for clients.

Cheers
Andy
