Traplet Unlimited Scale Competition - WRCFS 28th June 2009

Morning all.

I've just had an email from Andrew Lothian (from the Wirral RC flying society) about the traplet unlimited scale competition that they are holding. The email is copied below, and the poster should be attached too

Traplet Unlimited Scale Competition

We are holding this event in memory of Alf Witherup, one of our founder members, who died last year. He was well known in the Scale Model scene and was a judge for many years in the Liverpool and Skelmersdale clubs as well as our own. We felt that, as a tribute to his many years as a scale modeller (he started at the age of 16) and his love of this hobby, we would like to honour his memory by holding 'The Alf Witherup Memorial Cup' this year with the intention of making it an annual event.

I would be grateful if you could circulate your members and have attached a poster which I would also ask if you would send on to your members.

Competition will be Flying only - no static judging
Scratch, Plan, Kit built and ARTFs are all eligible with a maximum weight of 40lbs (18.14kg). Proof of ‘A’ certificate and insurance required. For models weighing more than 7kg the pilot must hold a BMFA ‘B’ Certificate.

There will be food and drink available.
