Electric Fence

Went down to the field this afternoon for a hover. Thought there may be a few down there but was all alone for a couple of hours. When I arrived, the fence was on the floor, clicking away, with about half a dozen posts lying on the floor. There was a bullock having a kip in the middle of the strip!! Luckily, with the ground being hard there was no damage to the strip. I didn't need to take the fence down for the heli, but before leaving I reset every post as they were all in existing holes and a good gust of wind would have blown them over. A great deal of effort by some of the club members went into getting the strip into the fantastic condition it's in at the moment, but it won't last long if the bullocks are allowed on there!!

Well said Mike, I went down there on the way home from work on Friday, the posts were all up, it must have happened on Friday after I left or Saturday morning.

It's bad enough the beasts are recking the pits and taxi way without worrying about the strip, well said Mike, Gents can we please make sure the posts are set in as hard as possible to preserve the strip, as Mike said it took a fare bit of work to get that strip up to a good standard and still maintained on a regular basis by richy and mark.
