You lucky devil Mark....MT smoke pump...., have been hankering after a smoke system for a while, just to try something different, tried streamers on the wings but that did`nt hit the spot, it was still lacking something.

Not sure if you guys are interested, but I have been working on a design for a smoke pump for a while now. They are pretty basic really, just a couple of gears, a housing and a motor/ESC. It started out as a design for waterpump for a Steam turbine *, but it is WAAAYYYYyy too powerful! A bit of redesign should see it suitable for use with oils and diesel with not too much trouble.

The only thing I am not sure of (and perhaps Barnesy can answer this) is the flow rate needed, and at what pressure? How much smoke oil do you get through? How long does that last? If I know the flow rate, I can size the pump appropriately....

Any interest in beta testing some units if I can get them made?

Cheers
Andy
