I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Quad meet
Another good meet this afternoon at the track... few bumps and grinds and a cracking little race between Mr Barnes & Mr Sayle.. All great fun.

Re: Quad meet
What a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon out in a dark underground carpark. I've killed an arm. No, two arms on the 330, and one motor is now locked solid. Entirely down to flying like a proper tool! It's surprising how amusing flying round a few concrete poles can be! I'm half tempted to scout out some woodland FPV racing sites for the summer weather....
Oggie, if the motors can handle 4s on 5x4 props, the carbon bits will certainly be able to! The only bits that are unknown, are the 3d printed spacers, but if they don't, I'll print you some uprated ones! Dopn't forget to send me a link to that FPV cam you were on about, and I'll sort an angled mount out for you.

Get it with 2.8 lens for quad = wider view
I've got the ir blocked version = better colours in daytime
The ir sensitive one Is better at night but washed out colours in day
My two came today and work with fatshark vtx so no more 12v stepups for a decent camera
Did you say u had parts to cover the side gaps where the naze32 wil be?

Re: Quad meet
Nice one, cheers for that link. I'll get hold of one of them to see about doing a tilted mount.
And yes, I do some 3d printed side plates that you can mount led strip to if you like. They are bolt through at the moment (Like how the arms are held in place) but I've got hold of some threaded inserts for the 3d printed plastic that look promising. I'll do a set of the normal ones for you and bring them on Sunday though.
Cheers

Re: Quad meet
It was you that broke my motor, clattering in to the quad whilst it was on the ground. Nothing to do with the landing from 8 feet up.....

Re: Quad meet
of course it does. It's the little impacts like that where breakages occur. Nothing to do with clattering in to walls and concrete posts etc....

Re: Quad meet
No problem! Which layout did you want, a 3 deck version like Oggy has got? Or a two deck version? Also, let me know what spacing you want between the lower two frames (13mm is standard, it will fit a flight controller with right angle pins in there, or speed controllers. I can do 18mm if you want more room, or 9mm if you want less). I've got the frames ready to go, along with screws and stuff. I've not yet received the ally spacers forthe top (3rd) deck though yet, they are somewhere between HK and here. stuck on a slow boat I reckon!
Also, with the tilted motor and cam mounts, I probably wont have them done for the weekend. I'll print a set for you as soon as they are ready though.

Cheers andy much appreciated, yes I'll go with the 3 deck same as oggs, and the 13mm spacers should be plenty. I'll grab the tilts when your ready m8 no rush, I'll av to grab some bits off hk my self so no doubt I'll be on the slow boat too! Catch you on Sunday for some FPV'n.

Re: Quad meet
No worries. Did you want the short arms (5" props only, giving a 237mm layout) or the slightly longer arms (5 or 6" props, 257mm layout)?
Cheers
