Possible fuel problem..

1st dead-stick this evening with the Sukhoi, managed to get it in nice and safe.
2nd dead stick wasn't quite as good, undercarriage popped out but not much damage.
thing is I noticed that the fuel in the tank had turned almost black and the clear pipe going to the exhaust had a few black/oily spots.
Could this be the back pressure building up to much and spewing the crap back into the tank? and if so has anybody got any suggestions please????

Its normal to get some black oily spots in the pipe from the silencer to the tank and this generally doesn't cause problems. If excessive it can be an indication of other problems. I would suggest checking none of the pipes are kinked or blocked and that they and the tank are airtight. Was the idling speed a little too slow? Dead sticks do happen anyway, particularly with glow engines. It can be worth fitting an onboard glow unit, which also makes starting easier

already got an on-board glow fitted Al. aint got the foggiest as yet to why it dead sticked twice. will look in to it though. thanks for the heads up matey.
