I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Classic Pattern UK Sleap Flyin
Just home from a cracking day @ Sleap Aerodrome in Shropshire for the First Classic Pattern UK event of 2014.
Despite a rubbish weather forecast and pretty high winds there was a good turn out of some beautiful classic patterships including 2 originally owned by the legend Hano Preterner
I was invited down to fly the PB Models demonstrator of the Super Calibre and had 5 good flights with her.
shot of the busy pits and flight line
My stead for the day
After lunch we were treated to a couple of full throttle low passes from the resident full size Yak 11 and a 10 min aerobatic display from full size Avalanche witch is another resident of the Sleap Airfield
Rain ended play about 3pm after a good days flying.

Re: Classic Pattern UK Sleap Flyin
its a great site, good little club.
The full size is very active to, always lots going on, further to the yak and avalanche, there was also a piper cub, couple of cessnas a chipmonk and 3 or 4 other things flying round all day think there's 10 hangers there now with all kinds hidden away
and the café in the control tower is epic
