I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

Haha, I wonder if the critics would have still given him a hard time if it was his cat that he was trying to rescue.

What about the millions of pounds the rescue services spend on hill walkers

More detail and discussion over here. The story as told by one of the forumites is quite good too..... towards the end of page 1 last time I looked.

All those stupid comments are wrote by some sad losers without any interest or hobbies. £2000 spent - so what ?
Police pays thousand £/h for helicopters chasing stolen £200 cars - should they give up on that as well ?
Very cheap sensation - but true is - hill walkers, bikers need rescuing every day - to a model flyer it happened for a first time - add to that ignorance of "toy plane" and a great story is ready.
If he didn't try to get it - and the lipo caused any fire - then they will complain he didn't call for a rescue team and fire caused so and so thousands of £ damage.
