I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Re: Anyone fancy the field?
Always fancy playing the field but Jane won't let me any more. Anyway went to the field this afternoon nothing ready to fly outdoors so took my camera hoping to get some pics of Stubbsy and Pete having the last flight of the year. No-one turned up so I just walked out to the strip checked the battery and re-positioned a few posts and came back home. See you next year !
P.S. The fields not as wet as I thought it might be but I wouldn't recommend driving on

Re: Anyone fancy the field?
Got there about 10 to 2! got all set up and had a cracking half an hour or so!
Then I stupidly broke the golden rule of "just one more"
Recharged my unicorn and took it up for one last glide, it had started to get quite breezy by this point but thought 'what the hell!'
Took it up and shut off the motor to have a bit of a glide, it came down really nicely! Fired the motor back into life and had another nice climb and drop. Threw the motor into life for one last time, and decided to go up a bit higher to have a longer glide down (not stupidly high as light conditions werent great!)
Must have been bloody gusty where I was at the time, cos as I was climbing she was blown backwards over the top like a paper aeroplane and got bloody small bloody quickly!
As I say light wasnt great so lost orientation quickly too. After what seemed like an epic battle, she headed towards earth! - she is lying in a cold wet field somewhere as we speak!
I walked the fields for about an hour and a half with no joy!
Anyone know how long 2 x 2300mah lipos wired in paralell will last on about half charge?
Might go out again tomorrow with my tx to see if I can hear the servos buzzing!
Worth a shot!

Looked pretty good when I saw it last Pete! - You can cover this funfly of mine when its done too if you want the practice!
Thank you EVERYONE for the offer of help in the search, as I said yesterday, its really bugging me the fact that it just seems to have just vanished! I could live with finding broken pieces, but its bugging me that its just gone!
Hammering down at the minute and will be muddy across the fields so hopefully it will brighten up a bit later on! I will post again later on if it does!
P.s - Club night pint and a bag of crisps in it for all who fancy joining me for the walk!

Re: Anyone fancy the field?
Hmmmmmmm - its a foam core wing that I covered in some of Andys bullet proof laminating film! if its landed in a plastic bag, the right way up under a tarp, it should be fine
At least its not balsa!
Having said that, its probably under three feet of water in one of the ditches somewhere anyway!

Re: Anyone fancy the field?
Right - Im heading to the field for about 11 - 11:15.
I have a genuine feeling that it is going to slash it down while im out there - so will be waterproofed to the hind teeth!
Thanks all for the offers, but as im sure the weather is going to be awful, im happy to go it alone this morning!
Will keep you posted!
