I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

A few guys use foil/foam insulating sheeting.... sold I think as radiator reflector material etc.
Of course, Andy may be able to fashion some bespoke flower power ones on his sewing machine Very Happy http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Construction+Materials/Insulation/Radiator+Foil+40+x+047+Mtr/d210/sd2738/p26805

I was looking at that stuff today, or something like it in Homebase.
Thanks for answering Tim.

Ha ha - Cheers for that Marty!
Had a look at a few wing bags - im no sewing expert, but some I have seen seem to be just layers of standard bubble wrap sandwiched between material.
Would be cheap enough to do as long as you dont have a "popping" fetish!

Alright dudes.

Wingbags. I'm presuming these are for your Akcent right? If so, then I probably wouldn't go with the metallised (silver!) bubble wrape stuff. It can be quite stiff, and scratchy if you know what I mean. If you are desperate to use that stuff, then I would at least line with with some closed cell polyurethane foam, or soft cotton or something like that.

The other cheap alternative if you can drive a sewing machine, is to get a fleece blanket, and fashion that into a bag. I would use a couple of layers, or some thick fleece, to offer some protection. Perhaps even use the fleece as a liner in disco blanket outer.

Another good alternative, is to use correx to make a more solid box, rather than a bag. That will offer more protection than a bag, and provide a nice storage solution for the whole model.

Or, you can go the whole hog, and commision me to make you some custom wingbags, soft fabric lined, padded, and finished in the fabric of your choice (just get yourself down to Abakhan in Mostyn to choose the fabric). Or, if you want some blue or red hibiscus style fabirc (like the roof lining in my van) I've got a load left over!

Thanks for that Andy, it's a very kind offer but as a time served sailmaker I think I can manage the sewing bit, lol.
The box it came in is very sturdy and I was alreaday planning to utalise it and the fleece idea was one I used to make all my guns nice and cosey so thats probably the way to go.
