I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Sunday 3/7/11
Not as busy as I thought it would be at the field today Stubbsy was getting on well with his training coached by Jem Charlie turned up with his Balsa USA 1/3 scale Cub we haven't seen this for a couple of seasons and it's a lovely model, for those who have not seen it before here's a few pictures. Rich was busy as usual on the spanners and tuning engines
Re: Sunday 3/7/11
That Cub would look really well with a big glider attached, itching for a go, it really is a beauty
Was a great day, got in at 10.40, lights seem to work reasonably well when it gets dusk, have to wait a bit until the nights start to draw a bit though, suprised no murder kill death mob today, perhaps used thier fuel quota on Saturday

Apologies To Stubz I couldn't make it today.I drove up there but slipped a disc while driving so had to crawl back home.
Glad to see you lot and Richie had a good time and the real man's models will be back there soon.
Wel it's one of them "can't get comfortable nights with this".
Anyone else still awake?
I'm running out of things to google.
Danny.

Overdosed on sun over the last few days, so stayed in the shade, despite a strong hankering to go up to the Wrexham open weekend.

Re: Sunday 3/7/11
Yeah sorry I missed you all, I poped over to Wrexham MFC for there open day.
Spent the morning there flying my little Electric Extra, then got ropped in to doing a A test. Great morning left about 1pm
The afternoon involved lots of sand when I took the kids to the beach, I was planning on having an evening shift at the field but I got rather sunburnt after 2 day's of sun.
Be there tonight though

Hoping to be there but there's chances of light rain late afternoon according to XC weather.
Re: Sunday 3/7/11
Looking at the second shot of the CUB is it me or has he got right rudder and left aileron on.

Deffo left aileron, but the top of the rudder looks pretty much inline with the vertical stab to me.
Could be just the angle of the photo /light ?

Nice photos of the Cub Brian ,she really does look well. Shorty after the pics where taken there was a little incident on landing when the starboard wing hit the post holding the electric fence reels. Only slight damage, hopefully it will be back in the air this coming weekend
Do not know what the reason is for the aileron being the way it is in the photo.

Re: Sunday 3/7/11
Had a cracking day - Thanks againg to Jem (and everyone else really for that matter) for pointing me in the right direction!
Really dissapointed I missed Charlies Cub - It looks a stunning model on the ground - but that said, if he hadnt farted around so much and put it together quicker- I might have seen it in the air too before I had to get back for baby duty!

I got there just as Charlie was packing away his killer-cub, it looked nice if you ignored the big gash....
Had a good few flights with the wing and funcub, until the "STOL" demonstration went slightly wrong....
