I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

wow he was very lucky, im sure if it wasent for that parashute, things would of been alot worse!

It was very convenient that there was a very large parachute already available to deploy attached to the tail. What happened to the piece of wing that was released ?

Ballistic recovery parachutes have been fitted to small/medium sized planes for quite a few years now. They are not a standard, or compulsory option though, which is why many people have never heard of them. They are a bloody good idea though, and something I'm surprised Barnes hasn't considered yet

It's normally on the deck before he finds the recovery parachute switch, I want a lifejacket for mine
How about a helium ballon stowage with firing device & small cylinder to inflate when required, come on Andy get the brain into design mode
