Battery left at field.

Not sure but think I may have left a battery on the box by the strip tonight after rushing off to recover plane from field?

Note to self "don't stall a Radjet".

D BODDINGTON

Post by XXXXX on Wed Apr 21, 2010 7:58 pm

Just saw this on the 'D B Sport and Scale' site http://www.dbsportandscale.com/index.html
'It has been confirmed that sadly "BODDO" David Boddington, has passed away 10 April 2010. Judy and I are very grateful that we have the tremendous privilege to be running the business that he started in 1969 and that he gave us exceptional help and encouragement to continue. May he rest in peace.'
The end of an era?

Yes, this sad news has been all over the RCME forum for the last week or so - a true legend and a gentleman to boot.

Sad news indeed.
Met him at the 1st Gildings Auction, Market Harborough and then several more times at Old Warden open days.
They had already organised a Boddington fly in at Old Warden as part of the annual May Fly event 8th/9th May this year , I suspect it will still go ahead but with even more enthusiasm than usual for DB Sport and Scale designs.

An amazing and extraordinary modelling legend. Everyone who was a builder has had a Boddington model on the go at some time.
His kits and Plans are still aviaiable
